a7995 5` louis bed

This is a very unusual and very decorative solid walnut French Louis style bed holding a 5` wide King size mattress. It is beautifully made, the walnut grain running throughout, the carvings and a very slight touch of gilt highlighting really sets it off. I would date the bed at circa 1900. The condition is very good, the matching side rails are the original and full length. The bed is offered with a fitted supporting base and I can supply a variety of pocket sprung mattresses too.

a7924 6` wide cane bed

Very rare French bow head and foot bed, circa 1900 with a beautifully carved frame. This is certainly one of the best 6` cane beds we have had like this as they can be quite plain, whereas this bed has the serpentine frame, carved roses and the slight wing to the headboard. The cane is all original and in excellent condition. These beds are not easy to come by, although there are some Italian and later pieces that you will find, but much lesser quality. I supply the bed frame with a supporting base - mattresses are available too - please enquire.

This is a 5`6`` wide upholstered louis style bed, circa 1930`s French. The bed is made and carved in solid beech, it has a good rich mahogany tone to the frame. The upholstery could also be changed for you in your choice of fabric. I have priced the bed "as is" here but including the re upholstery. Please add a further £250.
