A superb 5`6`` wide mid C19th French carved garland bed, with bow head and footboard panels, fine upholstery and an original pinting to the footboard. The quality of this bed suggests it has had some very interesting occupants, we purchased the bed from a fabulous Chateau near Perpignan. This is a very pretty French louis style upholstered bow foot upholstered bed. The frame is made in solid beech, circa 1920. Good condition throughout, once re upholstered, it will look evebn better. This is a super bed, 6` wide in the louis style and beautifully carved. The frame is currently painted, but would benefit from being re painted, perhaps with a lightly distressed waxed finish ( to your own specification ). The same applies for the upholstery, currently a silk damask, but it has been on there for some time - we will re upholster the bed within the price showm aswell as supply you with the fitted base. A huge 6`6`` wide x 6`6`` long original French louis style bed with three panelled upholstered bow footboard and beautifully carved frame. it is so unusual to find a bed of this size, although we found 3 on our last trip to France over 6` wide! You never know what your going to find. This bed is offered re upholstered and with the fitted supporting base made to fit the curve of the footboard.
